Tent box adventure

Soooo…for our wedding gifts we asked for contribution towards a TentBox.  We wanted to be able to go away for weekends away in the UK and having seen one of these at Countryfile live (don’t laugh, it was amazing) we were sold!  We therefore travelled up to Lough to look at the different models and decide which one to get.

We walked away the proud owners of a TentBox Classic. This was after the initial frantic search for our dynamic roof load (apparently this is important)!

We stayed for a night a Belvoir Waters on the way home, a wild camping site near Grantham.  We were able to test out our purchase and we were not disappointed, it was so quick and easy to set up (literally minutes), we then had enough time to have a BBQ and start a campfire.  We woke up to a beautiful sunrise and felt really lucky to have such amazing family and friends for helping us to buy our TentBox.

We then went for a visit to Tattershall castle (Debbie was surprised to know this was a real place and not just a party boat near Embankment tube station).  Tattershall castle was built in the 15th century and fell into disrepair in the 1700’s.  In the early 20th century its original fire places were saved from being sold off to buyers in America and it was then financed to be restored.  It is now under the care of the National Trust.
